What the video claims
About ₹5.25 lakh over 2017 – Jan 2024 with ~₹17.5k max drawdown (590 trades, 47% win).
Our paraphrase. See the video for the full explanation.
How our test compares
Before costs we got 639 trades, 46.9% win and −₹18.0k drawdown vs their 590, 47.3% and −₹17.5k; P&L ₹3.44 lakh vs ₹5.25 lakh, likely due to lot-size convention.
Rules we tested
On 3-min BANKNIFTY futures, buy a call near ₹300 when a candle closes above Supertrend, above the upper Bollinger band (20,2), above daily pivot R1, with RSI(14) > 70. Exit on a close below Supertrend or the band middle, or at 15:22; entries 9:25–14:00. We assumed weekly expiry and nearest-₹300 strike.
Note: We have no after-cost total for the exact rules over the full history, so no rupee figure is shown.
Method
1-min data resampled to 3-min, real broker charges incl. STT and taxes, 0.25% slippage for the after-cost checks.
- 1-minute historical NSE/BSE option and futures data; each video's rules coded exactly as taught, with stated assumptions where the video left a gap.
- Signals on a candle's close are filled at the next minute's open (unless the rules say otherwise); stops and targets are checked against each minute's high and low.
- Real broker charges, STT, exchange fees, stamp duty and GST deducted on every order; lot size as it was on each trade date.
- Results are per lot unless stated. No leverage, compounding or position sizing beyond the video's own rules.
